A Romantic Affair

A beautiful couple, their personalized take on rustic romance, and one absolutely stunning dress.

Jessica Cruickshank, a Canadian TV host best known for her MTV ‘After Show’, married her love and occasional creative collaborator Evan in a gorgeous ceremony at Big Daddy’s Los Angeles.

“Our home is filled with vintage pieces, and we love spending our Sundays wandering through flea markets, searching for one-of-a-kind treasures.” said Jessi in her interview with Refinery 29. “When we stepped into Big Daddy’s Antiques for the first time, we knew that we HAD to get married there, no matter what!”

The result, a west coast style, casually glamorous scene took over our showroom, with cozy seating areas and endless tablescapes. Wild, white floral arrangements by Twig and Twine, and customized nooks all throughout the showroom, created many unique vignettes that perfectly framed the happy couple.

The wedding was planned to perfection by Green Ribbon Parties and captured in exquisite detail by photographer Annie McElwain. But it was Jessi and Evan’s personalized touches, like the vintage linen postcard place settings with messages to each guest from the bride and groom, or the marching band that played the first song that we really loved.

“Shane Brown and his incredible staff worked with us to curate the warehouse, so that our guests could sit among the various magnificent vintage tables and chairs.” A lovely endorsement from the bride herself as told to Refinery 29.

A little more than your average antique shop, Big Daddy’s showrooms in both San Francisco and Los Angeles are beautiful warehouse style spaces, with endless possibilities for interior design. For more event information please visit our website or call us directly.
